Quiet Days, Reflection Days, Workshop Days

Our Quiet Days provide an opportunity to reflect, pray and share with others on a specific theme. For example:

  • A liturgical season, like Advent or Lent
  • An aspect of Ignatian Spirituality
  • Prayer through art (for example through icons, painting, collage, dance, etc)
  • Creation and ecological conversion
  • Circumstances of life such as making choices and coping with difficult moments, etc.

Usually, arrival is from 10 am, for a 10.30 am start. The day ends at 4 pm. Chelck for each event.

At the start of both the morning and afternoon, a small time of input, led by a Sister, leads to a time of personal reflection. A time of group sharing/reflection may also be offered. Resources that can help nourish your reflection (art materials, books, etc) are available during the day. We close the day with a small moment of prayer together.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day. Bring your own packed lunch. Lunch is eaten in silence in the house (or in the garden if you wish, and the weather permits!).

Have a look at our calendar for the dates and themes of our Quiet Days. Booking in advance using this form is essential, ideally at least 2 weeks before the Quiet Day you wish to attend.

During this workshop we will first reflect and get more familiar with the three roles of the drama triangle: rescuer, victim, persecutor and the three roles of the winner’s triangle: responsible, vulnerable, assertive. We will then look at how these roles are at play in relationships in the Gospel and in our lives, with Sister Christiane.

Saturday 6 December ‘Anticipating hope’

A quiet day to reflect on the promise of hope in Advent. Step aside from the business of life and reflect and pray with the themes of Advent, especially that of waiting, of hope and of finding light in the deepest darkness, with Sheelagh Daly, counsellor and spiritual director..
