As Sisters of Saint Andrew, we live according to the spirituality of St Ignatius of Loyola: to praise, serve and reverence God our Creator and serve God in the world.
We are involved in diverse activities, though which we journey alongside people in their faith and life.
We are passionate about being present with the poor, working for Christian unity and helping young people in discerning and making choices for their life.
Like St Andrew, the first companion of Jesus, we want to stay close to Christ and help others to get to know him (See John 1:35-40).
Like St Andrew, we want to offer to Jesus the little we are and the little we have (John 6:8-11).
Like St Andrew, we want to listen to Christ’s word and be witnesses of his death and resurrection (John 12:22ff).
In Lewisham, we continue our long tradition of ‘welcoming pilgrims’, as well as being involved in other ministries in the local area or further afield. The Ignatian Spiritual Exercises are an essential part of our formation and of our way of ministering to others, in guiding retreats as in informal encounters.
