During the pandemic

Our welcome has certain modifications and restrictions, in line with government guidelines, of which a summary is below. You can find the full version of our most recent policy here.

Please do not visit St Andrew’s if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of small and taste
  • if you need to self-isolate because of Covid-19

For all our guests:

We ask that you follow our hygiene measures, which the sister welcoming you will explain on your arrival.

For our residential guests (day and overnight):

There will be a maximum of 3 people for overnight residential stays. Each guest will use a separate kitchenette and a shower. A 72 hour gap will be left between each guest.

We can also welcome a few people for a few hours or a day (not overnight). A kettle and basic necessities (cup, plate, etc) will be made available in each use for their use. Access to kitchenettes is not possible.

Other information:

We are happy to continue to use online platforms where appropriate (ie spiritual accompaniment) if you are unable/uncomfortable with coming back to visit right now.

We continue to think and pray for all and especially those who may be particularly isolated at this time. During our evening prayer, we place a candle and our book of prayer intention on the altar as a sign of communion with all of you. Please contact us if you want to entrust to us any prayer intentions.

We will continue to follow official government updates and adapt our policy accordingly.
